53rd WEFTA Conference, 13th-17th October 2025, Gdańsk, Poland

Conference Gala Dinner

On Wednesday, 15th of October 2025, join us for the official Gala Dinner of WEFTA25, where the winner of the Wefta Award will be announced.

It will be an unforgettable evening hosted in the historic Piwnica Rajców (The Councillors’ Cellar) Restaurant, located beneath the most renowned building of Gdańsk’s Old Town — the Artus Court. The Artus Court, dating back to the 14th century, has long stood as a symbol of Gdańsk’s maritime power, trade wealth, and Hanseatic tradition. Originally serving as a meeting hall for merchants, nobles and city dignitaries, the building remains one of the most iconic landmarks of medieval Gdańsk. The vaulted cellars of Artus Court, where the Gala Dinner will take place, have an equally rich history. Since the Middle Ages, they were used for storing beer and wine for the city council of nearby City Hall. In the 17th century, the premises were transformed into the renowned Rathskeller, offering food and drink. Revived in 2018, Piwnica Rajców continues this tradition as a craft brewery and restaurant within these historic cellars.

Participants will enjoy a four-course Polish menu accompanied by a selection of beverages. The evening will feature the traditional WEFTA25 awards ceremony and an engaging tour of the artisanal brewery, including a presentation on the brewing technology behind various types of craft beer.

Set against a backdrop of festive ambiance and music, the five-hour gathering offers the perfect blend of culinary delight, cultural experience, and informal networking — with space for dancing and memorable conversations among colleagues and friends.
